How to install?

Windows

  1. Download: live-backgroundremoval-lite-2.7.1-windows-x64.zip (latest release for Windows)
  2. Extract the obs-plugins and data folders from the zip file.
    Drag and drop the obs-plugins and data folders from the zip file into your OBS Studio installation directory (C:\Program Files\obs-studio), and choose to overwrite when prompted.
  3. Restart OBS Studio.
  4. Test your installation: Open OBS Studio, right-click your video source, go to Filters, and check if Live Background Removal Lite appears in the Effect Filters list.

macOS

  1. Download: live-backgroundremoval-lite-2.7.1-macos-universal.pkg (latest release for macOS)
  2. Run the installer and follow the prompts to complete installation.
  3. Restart OBS Studio.
  4. Test your installation: Open OBS Studio, right-click your video source, go to Filters, and check if Live Background Removal Lite appears in the Effect Filters list.

Ubuntu

  1. Download: live-backgroundremoval-lite-2.7.1-x86_64-linux-gnu.deb (latest release for Ubuntu)
  2. Install the package:
    • Terminal Way: Open a terminal and run:
      sudo dpkg -i ./live-backgroundremoval-lite-2.7.1-x86_64-linux-gnu.deb
    • GUI Way: Double-click the live-backgroundremoval-lite-2.7.1-x86_64-linux-gnu.deb file in your file manager and follow the on-screen instructions.
  3. Restart OBS Studio.
  4. Test your installation: Open OBS Studio, right-click your video source, go to Filters, and check if Live Background Removal Lite appears in the Effect Filters list.

Arch Linux

You can install this plugin by building with makepkg or using an AUR helper like yay.
